Microencapsulated thread locking uses a pre-applied coating on fastener threads to provide reliable thread locking without the need for additional adhesive. The threads are coated with microscopic capsules containing reactive agents that are barely visible to the naked eye.
As the fastener is tightened, the microcapsules break open. The released agent spreads into the thread gap and cures there. This creates a mechanically interlocking and friction-locking connection that prevents the fastener from loosening on its own.
-Thread locking without additional locking elements or manual adhesive application
-Consistent, reproducible locking performance
-High resistance to vibration and dynamic loads
-Ideal for high-volume production where process reliability, cleanliness, and assembly speed are essential
Microencapsulated thread locking is designed for specific assembly conditions. To ensure reliable performance, storage, handling, and assembly must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
