Cleanroom classes according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1

DIN EN ISO 14644-1 specifies the limit values for the maximum permissible concentration of airborne particles per m³. A distinction is made between Classes 1-9. Class 1 meets the highest cleanliness requirements and is therefore the cleanest. On the other hand, Class 9 is the lowest class and is therefore the least clean.

Cleanroom classes according to EC GMP guidelines, Annex 1

The EC GMP guideline specifies the limit values for microbiological contamination by microorganisms and the number of airborne particles. A distinction is made between Classes A-D. Class A fulfills the highest level and Class D the lowest level.

 

 

These cleanroom classes are used particularly in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical technology.
